Cellist Dane Little is a native of Washington state, where he earned a Bachelor of Music from Washington State University. After studies with Stephen Kates in Baltimore and Claus Adam in Aspen, Dane came to Southern California to study with Robert Martin at the California Institute of the Arts, where he earned a Masters of Fine Arts degree in 1980. Since then he has maintained a busy professional life working as a member of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra and the Pasadena Symphony, and has played on numerous TV shows and motion picture soundtracks. Dane spent many summers with the Oregon Bach Festival and is an active chamber music player, currently performing as a member of the Crown City String Quartet. He resides in Pasadena with his wife, Carrie, their two children and three cats.
