Critically acclaimed mezzo-soprano Helene Quintana (“a winning performance”…LA Times; “strong ardent musicality“…Beverly Hills Outlook; “admirable clarity and power”…Monterey Herald News) has performed extensively on stages in the United States and Europe. Recent engagements include solo performances in Bach’s B minor Mass and Verdi’s Requiem, Verdi opera arias with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine (Kiev), and appearances with the Georgian National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Tblisi in the role of Ines in Il Trovatore. Her Los Angeles Opera roles include Bridesmaid in Marriage of Figaro, Zweite Taube in Die Vogel and Lady in Nicholas and Alexandra. Helene has also performed as a soloist with the Los Angeles Master Chorale in Bach’s Magnificat and Christmas Oratorio, as well as Handel’s Messiah. Proudly in the roster of the Los Angeles Opera Chorus for more than two decades, Helene is in the process of completing her Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at Claremont Graduate University, and holds Master of Arts degrees in both Piano and Harpsichord from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
