Leslie Reed is the Principal Oboe of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale Sinfonia. Past positions include Principal Oboe of the Long Beach Symphony, the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra and the Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra. In 1994-5 she served as Acting Associate Principal Oboe with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, touring with them to Europe, Asia and the eastern United States. Leslie has appeared as a soloist on several occasions with southern California Orchestras, performing the concertos of Mozart, Marcello, Vaughan Williams and Richard Strauss. She is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, and her principal teachers were Wayne Rapier, Allan Vogel and John Mack.
